An educational web channel is rarely one to get excited about, but TED Talks seems to buck the trend. The diversity of its lectures, which tackle such quirky topics as "The Technology of the Heart" and "Inside an Antarctic Time Machine" is surely key to its success. There's also an awful lot here; with more than 750 videos to choose from there's bound to be more than a few that interest you.

Most of the world has jumped on the green bandwagon, but few of us really understand much of this emerging industry. The educational health and living series Organic Nation TV helps to clarify things with videos explaining a range of eco-friendly practices. Other videos in the series speak to the people committed to this lifestyle, from farmers to restaurant owners in the big smoke.

With a broadcasting history stretching back to the 1980s, Frontline is a documentary institution. Now some of its most significant episodes are available in their entirety online.

There are almost 50 videos here all lasting around an hour long, so there should be enough to keep you entertained!

With so many people becoming more environmentally conscious, it was only a matter of time before we saw a series like Project Green. This program from HealthiNation joins Green TV in our nature category.

The first series has already wrapped up but the archives still make for interesting viewing, particularly for folks looking to adopt a greener lifestyle.

Rather than being a resource of health information, RealHeath.tv focuses on people’s journeys and stories through health problems and medical conditions and is made up from user submitted videos.

BME TV Skills and Work is one of the few internet television channels that offer skills and work training through its broadcast programs to help the unemployed.

Life skills are important for survival in today’s world.  The BME TV Life Skills channel provides training on some of life’s most crucial skills.  Unfortunately at this point there is not a large number of programs offered on this channel.
