Serenity Channel

Take a little break for yourself and enjoy the nature videos from the Serenity Channel. The combination of tranquil images and soothing music works a treat to help you relax. New episodes are a bit slow to come, with months passing before new ones join the collection, but this isn't the kind of channel that leaves you hanging out for the next installment!

Terra The Nature of Our World

The Montana State University has created an impressive educational nature and science series in Terra: The Nature of Our World. The production is slick and the videos diverse and informative. The website design isn't very intuitive though, with viewers needing to scroll up on pages to see the videos they're looking for. This unique design takes some time to get used to.

TED Talks ( 9/3/2010 )

TED Talks

An educational web channel is rarely one to get excited about, but TED Talks seems to buck the trend. The diversity of its lectures, which tackle such quirky topics as "The Technology of the Heart" and "Inside an Antarctic Time Machine" is surely key to its success. The first series has already wrapped up but the archives still make for interesting viewing, particularly for folks looking to adopt a greener lifestyle.

Green TV ( 8/15/2007 )

Following the release of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth and the massive global Live Earth concerts, it seems everyone is thinking green. If you are too, then check out Green TV, the first web channel to join our nature documentaries category.

But the site offers more than just documentaries. A range of comedies, debates, cartoons and more, all with an environmental message are showing at Green TV.

I became frustrated by Green TV's full screen mode, as it did not fit within my browser window. However, if you don't mind watching smaller videos you should be satisfied with the broad range of content found here.
