Public access television has some real gems, but who's watching? Thank goodness for the internet that brings such jewels like The Chris Gethard Show to a wider audience. Since its advent as a theater production the internet has been vital to its success, and that interactive component is only heightened now. Watch it live, participate in the chat, touch base on Twitter, and enjoy the madness of this off the wall comedy talk show!

Don't confuse it with Inside the Actor's Studio; Inside the Actor's Studio Apartment is much funnier! It sees host Daniel Bowers chatting with the new wave of comedy actors, including Kristen Schaal and Jon Friedman, in their own homes. The laughs in this real life comedy series are genuine and never feel forced, unlike so many scripted comedies we find online.

His Place occupies a unique space on the web as a Christian focused comedy talk show. I'm not convinced by the use of scripted comedy and characters, as they seem to dilute the real world nature of the TV show, but I do applaud the program for daring to be different.

By day he's a meek mannered web creator, but by night he's AngryJoe, a champion of the ordinary gamer who refuses to accept half-baked sequels. In the AngryJoeShow, Joe sounds off about video games, movies, and anything else that crosses his mind. The format isn't revolutionary and the production qualities lacking, but the creator's passion is infectious.

Jukka Issakainen brings his love of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to the internet with the entertainment series Scrolls of Eternia. The episodes are a good size for the time poor online audience but they're on the dry side. It's unfortunate that the host's passion doesn't quite translate to the finished product.

The snarky narration of Eric DerManouelian and fun minimalist illustrations of Scott Gowin come together in the old school computer game series Retro Rant. The creators are keen gamers so they really know their stuff, although you certainly don't need to share their passion to enjoy this humorous web program.

With a history stretching back to 1999, Radio Free Cybertron was a podcast before the term was really used. It originally began as a tribute to Transformers, and while this franchise is still featured today the long running entertainment program takes a more general approach to geek-related pop culture, with features on comics, YouTube videos, and more.

Klaus von Hohenloe serves up his opinion on all things geek and a side order of laughs with his channel PSOHB Media. Currently the channel hosts two biweekly series: the anime review series Ani-meh Reviews, and the game focused Full Spectrum. If you like these you'll be happy to know there's more to come.

Derek Crabbe investigates various film and television adaptations of comic books in his educational series History of Comics on Film. Just like its name, this series is a bit dry, especially when episodes stretch to close to an hour. However the shorter episodes, like the 20-minute one based on The U.S. of Archie, are tight enough to remain entertaining.

If you don't know your Star Trek from your Star Wars you might need to take a Geek Crash Course. Diana Dekajlo and Michael A. Nixon are on a mission to enlighten the geek-challenged on all aspects of geek culture, from comic books to computer games. It's aimed at nerd newbies but the episodes are entertaining enough to enthrall serious geeks.
