The Council of Fashion Designers of America lifts the lid on its vital work nurturing new talent in The Fashion Fund. The fashion series is produced in conjunction with the style bible Vogue, so it looks very slick. However there's real substance there too, so it's disappointing we're only promised a six episode run.

Online men's fashion bible Style Ledger has recently added a video series to its website. The documentaries focus on independent fashion stores and manufacturers in America. While it makes sense to see New York companies in the first two episodes, I hope to see some clips stepping outside the fashion capital. Whatever happens, it's refreshing to see a fashion program giving exposure to the little guys.

Style.com takes viewers at home into a world more glamorous, with models wearing the latest catwalk looks and parties where French champagne flows. This heady fashion world is a bit glossy and superficial, but it's a fun place to escape to now and again. Channels featuring runway footage are a dime a dozen, but the engaging commentary helps Style.com's videos stand out.

With fashion changing every season, it can be hard to stay up to date and pay your rent. However, Kim Turner shows us that style doesn’t need to cost the earth in her fashion series, Fashion Cents. She encourages viewers to work with items already in their wardrobe, and supplement these with affordable items, to achieve flawless style.

Birchbox is offering more than beauty samples to its customers. The subscription service also produces some useful beauty and fashion videos to help girls get the most from the products they receive.

Just quietly though, you don't need to be a Birchbox customer to learn something from these videos. Their step-by-step instructions on make-up application and care are valuable for any girls interested in improving their looks.

It's frustrating that the videos autoplay, as we hear a lot of advertisements in sync as we load up the page, but this is a minor niggle in an entertaining and informative channel.

Arcade44 keeps its finger on the pop culture pulse so you don't have to. The entertainment videos featuring musical and arts newcomers tend to feel a little bit too cool for school after a while, but there are also some real gems here. The attention to the world’s arts community, as opposed to the goings on in one particular country, is also rare and exciting.

Janette Ewen and Afiya Francisco are the Style Agents, fashion experts who demystify the latest trends for viewers at home. It's a smart webseries for sponsors Vaughan Mills, as we see Ewen and Francisco showing us how to get the latest looks using clothes from the mall's stores. However the Style Agents' tips are easy to apply, even if you're not frequenting the shopping precinct.

Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, and Natalia Vodianova: they're regulars on the runways and always in the pages of our favorite fashion rags. They're nothing like us, right? Modelinia helps to strip away some of the mystic, with its videos which show models at work and play.

Without a central video hub, the channel can be a bit frustrating to get around, but the high-definition resolution and professional production helps to compensate for the navigational niggles.

Threadbanger creator Corinne Leigh is back with a new fashion-focused craft series, Craftovision. This series feels a little more homespun and less glossy than the videos on Threadbanger, but it has some great little tutorials. I'm sure the video teaching viewers how to make their own fascinators will be very popular around racing season!
