Foodtease started as a way for David and Nicole to keep friends and family in their native Canada up to date on their news lives in Texas. Today it's a flourishing cooking and travel series with a much wider audience. There's an easy marriage between these two different subjects, but an irregular posting schedule lets it down.

The island of Hawaii is like another character in the hit CBS series Hawaii Five-0, so fans will love to learn more about it through CBS's companion travel series, Hawaii Undiscovered. Host Jim Brasher gives the series the same youthful energy as the revamped detective program through upbeat interviews and experiences on Oahu.

Frequent traveler and television personality Rick Steves brings his travel presentations to you through the YouTube channel, Rick Steves’ Lectures. Of course this series only exists to sell more of Steves’ travel tours, but he is an engaging speaker. It's just a shame we don't get the highlights package. An hour and a half seems far too long for online episodes.

Jonny Paula raises our expectations sky high with his ambitiously titled travel series Jon’s Adventure Vlog. However one man's adventure is another's mundane everyday. Country fairs and small town museums might not get the blood pumping, but Jon's natural enthusiasm for the United States and its many attractions is infectious.

The late Scottish treasure Tom Weir showcases the country he loved in the travel series Weir's Way. It does look a bit dated now, and it’s easy to poke fun at Tom’s knitted tam and sweaters. However, Tom's passion and knowledge about Scotland shines through to make this essential viewing for travel nuts.

The internet is such an ever changing medium, we all rely on web television to keep its fingers on the pulse. That's very evident in Nowness, a glossy new lifestyle series which reports on the trends before most of us are following them. The original videos produced by some big name talent from the arts industries are impressive.

Chef and television personality Andrew Zimmern clearly has not just an appetite for life, but for food. In his travel webseries Appetite for Life he combines the two passions, taking viewers on a road trip to discover some of the best street food the US of A has on offer. Now in its second series, clearly Zimmern is doing something right.

Since its inception in 2004, Rocketboom has grown to become one of the fastest growing video start-ups online. The secret to its success is a combination of regular videos, posted every weekday, and a diverse range of topics delivered in a lighthearted, approachable way. This one stop shop has a great selection of news, arts and culture, travel, and technology programs.

Travel series inTransit is like a breath of fresh air, an honest respite from the glossy and overproduced travelogues taking in exotic locations. Instead Peter Bragiel chooses to get about on foot and on public transport, thus experiencing the real culture of the Mexican and Central American locals he visits.

If you can't afford a ticket to Tuscany, Into the Heart of Italy might just be the next best thing. It follows the adventures of those who can, namely American chef Rocco DiSpirito and actors Marisa Tomei and Dan Cortese. All three are mad foodies who travel the country to see just why its food is so good.
