A mental hospital for the criminally insane makes a suitably eerie setting for the new thriller drama series Asylum. This is clever stuff, with smart writing and acting which is equal to the meaty material. Something tells me the six-episode first season won't be quite enough to satisfy, but that might work in the creators' favor when it comes time to launch season two.
