I’ve always wondered why rhythmic gymnastics is seen as an Olympic-worthy sport. Sure the athletes are talented, but do they really belong in the same competition as the long distance runners and the weightlifters?

It seems to me that a competition like Australia’s Got Talent is a much better place to perform a rhythmic gymnastics routine. Luckily young Aaron Smyth agrees with me, and so do the judges. This routine, set to “New York State of Mind” sent this talented teen to the grand final.
