12 Second Cocktails

12 Second Cocktails is a short instructional series which shows people at home how to mix their own drinks.

The episodes are hosted by real-life bartenders, who reveal the tricks of their trade. The program shows classic cocktails like The Sidecar and contemporary favorites including The Crow Cocktail and The Jack Rose.

The videos are very short, lasting less than a minute each. The first section shows how to make the cocktail, while the second gives a little background about its origins and tips for making your drink taste best.

The ingredients and method for making each cocktail is posted underneath the video player window.

Basic controls underneath the player allow browsers to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, view them in regular or full-screen mode, or share the clips with friends. The videos are shot in high-definition format to maintain quality in full screen mode.

Pausing the clips presents another menu in the player screen. This presents codes for embedding the entire video, or its link, into a personal website. It also features icons which allow fans to easily navigate to other videos in the series.

Links for sharing the clips with popular social networking sites are to the left of the player window. There are also links to download the videos and subscribe to the episode RSS feeds. Viewers are encouraged to share their opinions on each episode by leaving a comment below the clip.
