4oD

4oD is a video on demand player which allows browsers to watch full length television shows and movies for free. The service is offered by British television network Channel 4.

4oD screens new programs aired in the last 30 days, such as Shameless, Ugly Betty, and Hollyoaks. It also shows hundreds of classic shows such as Da Ali G Show, Queer as Folk, Black Books, and Father Ted. Many of these programs can be viewed for free, while others cost 99p.

In addition, 4oD offers a wide range of movies screened on Channel 4. These films, including Shallow Hal, Phone Booth, The King, and Nightwatch, cost £1.99.

Browsers must install the 4oD software before viewing the programs. This software allows users to prebook new episodes of their favorite programs up to two weeks in advance, and catch up on any episodes they've missed. It also allows users to browse programs and movies according to their genre. Alternatively, users can watch programs recommended by the 4oD team.

All videos are available to watch in the browser window, or they can be downloaded to view later. Users can rent programs to watch for the next 48 hours, or own them to view whenever they wish.

Currently the 4oD service is only available to PC users living in the UK or Eire. Parental guidance is recommended as some programs and movies are unsuitable for children.
