99 Dollar Music Videos is an innovative music videos channel, which challenges filmmakers to create their music videos on the cheap.

Without the big budgets of major record labels, the film makers and bands exploit low-fi, innovative cinematic techniques seen in the early days of MTV.

The channel looks to pool the creative resources of up-and-coming bands and musicians with new filmmakers. The teams must come together to shoot and edit their videos in one day using a budget of $99 or less.

The channel features the music videos themselves, and short documentaries which take viewers behind-the-scenes of the video creation and shoot.

Basic controls underneath the player allow browsers to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, view them in regular or full-screen mode, or share the clips with friends. The videos are shot in high-definition format to maintain quality in full screen mode.

Pausing the clips presents another menu in the player screen. This presents codes for embedding the entire video, or its link, into a personal website. It also features icons which allow fans to easily navigate to other videos in the series.

An episode synopsis is featured underneath the player, while links for sharing the clips with popular social networking sites are to the left.
