Animation Block

Animation Block Party is an annual cartoon film festival based in New York City. This My Damn Channel site showcases some of the best shorts featured during the festival.

Animation Block broadcasts independent, professional, and student animation from around the globe. Styles include traditional hand drawn animation and claymation techniques. Most videos are standalone works. However others, like the marijuana-smoking Chef Barry, are regular series.

The player features video controls which allow users to easily pause the video, fast forward and rewind the clip, adjust its volume, and view the episode in full-screen mode.

Anyone can view Animation Block videos, but members of the My Damn Channel site have added functionality. They can leave a text or video comment to any episode. Membership to My Damn Channel is free.

A synopsis of each episode is shown underneath the player. The synopsis window contains icons allowing fans to share the videos with friends, embed them into a personal website, submit them to social networking websites, and download them to view later. Underneath the synopsis there are various tabs showing the fan comments and production credits.

Parental guidance is recommended as Animation Block contains coarse language, sexual references, drug references, and other adult themes. New videos are added every Monday.
