Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is an American game show hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. It tests the brainpower of adults, who must answer grade school trivia questions.

The contestants earn prize money, up to one million dollars, for the questions they answer correctly. These questions test knowledge of subjects like mathematics, literature, geography, and history.

They can receive help from five fifth-grade classmates, who also answer the questions. If the contestants are unsure of an answer, they can "peek" at their classmate's answer, or "copy" it. These "cheats" can only be used once during the game. If the contestant answers the question incorrectly, the classmate may "save" them if they know the answer. This cheat is also only available once. Once the contestant has exhausted all their cheats, they cannot receive any help from the classmates.

At any point the contestants can choose to leave the game with the money they have accumulated. However, if they decide to "drop out," they must admit they are "not smarter than a 5th grader."

New full-length episodes are available one or two days after they are broadcast on Fox. The videos use high-quality image resolution to give users a viewing experience that is like watching high-definition television.
