As a comic book aficionado, Lovhaug knows what works, but prefers to talk about what doesn't. He dissects surreal and stupid comic books page by page and offers constructive criticism on ways they can be improved.

While these critical reviews make up the bulk of the episodes, special videos also contain panel discussions and history lessons on popular comic book franchises.

Atop the Fourth Wall originally began as a series of text-based reviews, but when an experimental video review earned rave reviews from fans the channel evolved.
