Bad Communication

American ex-pats Andrew Hawkins and Hiroki Matsuuchi discuss the weird and wonderful news from their new Japanese home in the series Bad Communication.

Hawkins and Matsuuchi take a lighthearted look at the news from Japan. They are often joined in the studio by special guests, who are generally Japanese internet personalities.

The Bad Communication channel is organized like a traditional blog, with details of the most recent episode appearing first. Each entry features an embedded video player and a comprehensive episode synopsis. This features links to news articles and videos referred to during the video. Each episode is posted in a variety of formats: the standard episode which is approximately 45 minutes long, a bite-sized version which clocks in at around 10 minutes, and the iBadCommunication version made especially for viewing on portable devices.

A new episode is added to the channel every Monday night. Fans can view the episodes when posted, or stream them live via USTREAM from 8:30 pm Japanese Standard Time. The live streaming is interactive, with fans encouraged to chat to the hosts and one another and view pre-show and post-show footage.
