Behind the Counter

Comic book enthusiasts Rich Stambolian and Jonathan Adler chat about their favorite literary form in the weekly webseries Behind the Counter.

Each week the hosts talk about their favorite comics in their "books of the week" segment. They also recap the action from prominent American comic book conventions and interview the stars they find there.

The co-hosts banter with one another in a lighthearted and informal way, speaking like friends of their viewers rather than experts in the field. Their conversations have a humorous tone but they're careful to never stoop to snarkiness.

The Behind the Counter page on the GFQ Network contains a list of episodes, along with an abridged synopsis of each. Clicking the episode titles or the "continue reading" links takes viewers to the individual episode pages. These contain a complete episode synopsis and an embedded video player.

Controls along the base of the player window allow fans to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, view them in full screen mode, and share them with friends. Links below the player window allow fans to listen to the episode’s audio, or subscribe to audio and video channels on iTunes, Zune, and regular RSS feed.

A new episode is added to the channel each Saturday. Each one lasts for approximately one hour.
