The Canadian cartoon Birdz takes us inside the mind of a feathered pre-teen called Eddie Storkowitz.

Eddie isn't so different to humans of the same age. He is an aspiring filmmaker with dreams of becoming the next Steven Spielberg. He struggles to cope with his crazy family, and he has an unrequited crush on his teacher Ms. Downey.

Birdz cleverly transposes the problems of typical teenagers into a cartoon, bird-filled setting. The series was characterized by its simple animation style and clever writing littered with pop culture references.

Birdz aired for a total of 13 episodes in 1998. Complete episodes of Birdz are available through the series' YouTube channel. This channel makes it easy to send a message to its creators, or share the videos with friends.
