Budget Health Nut

Budget Health Nut is an online cooking series hosted by Joe Diaz. The program follows the philosophy that we should never "let modest funds get in the way of gourmet taste."

In each episode Joe creates a meal with a budget of $25, although many dishes cost much less. He creates food which is tasty, easy to prepare, affordable, and healthy. These include budget delicacies such as omelets, soul food and stir fries. Joe offers tips and techniques for creating these meals and more on a shoestring.

Joe is assisted by nutritionist and dietician Ashly Colpaart who grades the nutritional content of each meal. Tools like the Calorie Cruncher also drive home the healthy eating message.

The program is accessible for novices looking to gain more confidence in the kitchen and experience cooks looking to expand their repertoire.

Episodes last between five and 10 minutes, allowing fans to watch them on the go.

Each episode is filmed in high-definition video, to ensure the quality is excellent even when viewing in full-screen mode.
