CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is a drama series about a team of Las Vegas forensic investigators. It is part of a television franchise which includes CSI New York and CSI Miami.

The team is led by Gil Grissom, a thorough and eccentric scientist. He works with single mom Catherine Willows, analytical Warrick Brown, kindhearted Nick Stokes, and the offbeat field analyst Greg Saunders. Episodes of CSI follow the team as they scour the scene for evidence and analyze the clues to solve the case.

The series occasionally steps away from the crime scene to reveal details of the characters' home lives, including Catherine's relationship with her daughter and the breakdown of Warrick's marriage.
