Coin-Op.tv

Coin-Op.tv is a web-based talk show dealing with the video game industry. It's hosted by video game expert Robert Welkner with the assistance of Hailey Bright, who monitors the program's chatroom and offers location reports.

The program typically starts with a roundup of current video game news. In the second half of each episode, the hosts interview game creators, designers, and notable gamers in the studio and remotely using Skype. The program has a strong interactive component, with the hosts taking cues from their audience at home through a live chatroom.

The length of Coin-Op.tv episodes varies greatly. The channel incorporates both short videos, lasting around five minutes, and regular weekly live episodes which range between half an hour to an hour.

The channel uses a combination of different video players. Some clips use the basic YouTube player, while others are linked to the all-live web TV network, TheStream.tv. These latter episodes are filmed in high-definition video to maintain quality in both regular and full-screen viewing mode. The high-quality videos tend to be the longer, live episodes. These are added to the channel every Thursday.
