Dinner with the Band

Dinner with the Band is a cooking show with a difference. It bills itself as "the perfect mash-up of indie music and edgy food for total entertainment."

Host Sam Mason is part check, part rockstar. He invites touring bands to help him cook, and then play, at his New York City loft. The dishes are diverse, from the exotic black olive cobbler and miso butterscotch halibut to classics like steak and frites and bagels and lox.

Bands to appear on Dinner with the Band include hip hop outfit Pigeon John, new wave band Holy Hail, and Brooklyn indie sensation Matt & Kim.

Each episode is filmed in high-definition video, to ensure the quality is excellent even when viewing in full-screen mode.

Browsers can sort the videos according to their date of release, number of comments, and popularity.

Once fans choose a clip from the video menu they are taken to a new screen with a large player. The player's controls allow users to stop and play the video, adjust its volume, and view it in full screen mode.
