Eureka is an American science fiction series. It is set in a town inhabited by geniuses. While the characters are brilliant, their scientic experiments often give some unexpected results.

When a faulty experiment cripples the town's sheriff, Deputy US Marshal Jack Carter is forced to replace him. With his average intelligence, Jack is an outsider amongst Eureka's residents. But his street smarts save the town from one disaster after another.

With its offbeat storylines, Eureka has been compared to Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure.
