Food Science
Food Science is an educational program which looks at the science behind food and cooking processes.
The program is hosted by Dr Kirsten "Kiki" Sanford, a bubbly woman with brains and beauty. She has a Ph.D. in neurophysiology, but she never gets bogged down in the scientific jargon behind her lessons. Instead she presents accessible commentary coupled with easy-to-understand animations to explain the science behind food.
Each episode lasts less than five minutes and focuses on a unique topic. These include microwaving, fermentation, breaking down proteins, and fudge.
Each episode is filmed in high-definition video, to ensure the quality is excellent even when viewing in full-screen mode.
Browsers can sort the videos according to their date of release, number of comments, and popularity.
Once fans choose a clip from the video menu they are taken to a new screen with a large player. The player's controls allow users to stop and play the video, adjust its volume, and view it in full screen mode.
