For Art's Sake
For Art's Sake takes you behind the canvases to learn more about contemporary art from the people who know best: the artists themselves.
Each episode focuses on a particular artist. It looks at their work, and then beyond it to their lifestyle and what inspires their art.
The program refuses to be elitist, giving as much time to cartoonists like Patrick Atangan and Brian Apthorp and great painters like Peter Zokosky and Kim Merrill. The program also speaks to gallery owners and examines what drives them to exhibit the works of others.
Each episode is filmed in high-definition video, to ensure the quality is excellent even when viewing in full-screen mode.
Browsers can sort the videos according to their date of release, number of comments, and popularity.
Once fans choose a clip from the video menu they are taken to a new screen with a large player. The player's controls allow users to stop and play the video, adjust its volume, and view it in full screen mode.
