HDNet Fights

HDNet Fights works with leading promoters to bring live mixed martial arts, or MMA, bouts to audiences at home.

The channel features regular exclusive MMA match-ups through its program HDNet WebFights. It also celebrates the best recent MMA bouts with the Fight of the Week series. It serves up the latest news on the sport in the short program Inside MMA. The program, hosted by Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten, features special guest appearances by MMA stars and the sport's enthusiasts. American television personality Mike Straka speaks to some of the game's leading athletes and coaches in the interview series Fighting Words.

HDNet Fights was conceived in 2007 by billionaire Mark Cuban. The entrepreneur created the channel to present mixed martial arts like other mainstream sports. He looked to eliminate ring card girls and other superfluous elements in order to give the sport greater professionalism.
