I Scored a Goal in the FIFA World Cup Final is a short film series which takes a look back at goal scorers through the history of the football World Cup.

The documentary style series revisits some of the most memorable goals and speaks to the athletes that scored them. It blends many different documentary genres, to create a series which is part autobiography, part sports doco, and part history lesson.

The episodes are revealing, with Czech player Josef Masopust speaking about his experiences as an athlete living under the country's communist regime, and Italian Marco Materazzi who looked to his deceased mother for inspiration.

Video controls appear in the player window when hovering over it. Controls along the base of the player allow browsers to pause and play the episodes, adjust their volume and quality, and view the clips in full screen and autoplay modes.
