In the Kitchen

In the Kitchen is a competitive reality TV series which pits amateur cooks against one another. It is hosted by cookbook writer and cooking teacher Torie Richie.

Each episode focuses on a new contestant. They share the story of their relationship with a special person they would like to prepare a meal for. We've seen a woman wanting to create a birthday dinner for her 105-year-old grandma's birthday, a man keen to cook a romantic meal for his wife, and a daughter wanting to say thank you to her mother. These personal stories help to give In the Kitchen a real emotional content often lacking in cooking programs.

The contestants are given two hours to prepare a meal which is then judged according to its technique and taste, presentation and pairings, and ingenuity.

Each episode is filmed in high-definition video to preserve its quality, even when viewed in full-screen mode.

The bottom of the In the Kitchen player has basic video controls, allowing browsers to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, and view them in full screen viewing mode.
