Independent Scene

Independent Scene is a Canadian news entertainment program which profiles the country's indie entertainers.

Independent Scene is hosted by Canadian entertainment personalities Richard Crouse, Bill Welychka, Orin Isaacs, and Irene Carl Sankoff. They interview a range of independently financed creative Canadians, including up-and-coming filmmakers, musicians, animators, artists, and photographers. In doing so, the series looks to promote artists that otherwise may go unnoticed.

Controls at the bottom of the player window allow browsers to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, view them in full-screen viewing mode, e-mail the episodes to friends, or embed them into a personal website. A small cross underneath the player allows browsers to close the Flash pop-up player.

Images underneath the player window help browsers navigate to other episodes in the series. Further information about the episodes, including a brief synopsis of each one, is available at the bottom of the page.
