Josh's Journal

Josh's Journal is a semi-autobiographical teen drama series created by American Christian puppeteer, Josh Abrams. It focuses on the life of Josh, an ordinary teen with a big imagination.

Josh's Journal began its life as part of Abram's fine arts thesis project. He created short films recalling moments in his childhood, with small foam figurines standing in for actors. These clips were complemented by a series of illustrations. Abrams believed the videos were the project's greatest strength, and set about turning his other comic strips into similar clips.

Today Josh's Journal episodes show a mix of real life events in the creator's childhood and fictional scenarios. The series focuses on the challenges teenagers face in the modern world, and gives strategies for overcoming these hurdles. It aims to be a positive force in with so many negative influences including peer pressure, bullying, and body image concerns.
