Masters of Delta Blues Guitar

Guitar playing veteran Kevin Duggan shares his love of early blues music though his guitar tutorial series Master of Delta Blues Guitar.

Each episode introduces viewers to a Delta blues tune or an acoustic blues number inspired by foundation blues sounds from the Mississippi Delta. Through these instructional lessons, viewers can learn more about the music created by African-American slaves in the late 1800s.

Most videos showcase the songs of blues’ founding fathers including Scott Joplin, John Lee Hooker, and Skip James. However other videos show the way Delta Blues has influenced the modern incarnation of the music genre, such as the ones featuring Duggan's own original compositions.

The videos are accessible, but require some basic guitar skills. Rather than an opportunity for beginners to learn, the Masters of Delta Blues Guitar series helps guitar lovers develop their talent and discover a new genre.
