Mechanical Mashup

Mechanical Mashup is a DIY series with a difference, a channel that serves up quirky projects that the average guy can try in his own garage.

The series is helmed by the offbeat and creative duo Dave Spencer and Ben Eadie. The hosts claim they are willing to risk "life, limb, or at least a disapproving look from their wives" to create their unusual projects.

Episodes show viewers how to convert a disposable coffee cup into an iPhone holder, create a flaming pumpkin for Halloween, and make a DIY taser "for fun and defence." The fact that these guys believe you can create a taser for fun really tells viewers all they need to know about the hosts and their series.

The most recent episode is presented in a large video player on the Mechanical Mashup main page. Controls along the base of each video player allow fans to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, share them with friends and view them in full screen and high definition modes. Arrows to the left and right of this player allow fans to jump to other episodes in the series. Alternatively, thumbnail images corresponding to previous episodes are displayed at the bottom of the player window.
