Mevio

Mevio is a digital entertainment channel from the United States of America. The site acts as a social networking website, video directory, and online music store.

The site was formerly known as PodShow, but when podcasting began to develop as an amateur artform the company decided it was time to reinvent themselves.

Mevio showcases an exhaustive list of web channels features comedies, music video programs, fashion shows, cartoons, and movies.

Controls underneath the video player make it easy to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, and view them in large-screen mode. Additional buttons also allow browsers to share the videos with friends, or download them to view later. Icons to the right of the player show similar videos, making it easy for fans to navigate the site.

The site also includes digital music which can be directly downloaded to a computer or MP3 player and an interactive community environment similar to MySpace or FaceBook.

Videos are free for anyone to view, but fans must sign up for a free Mevio account to interact with the community, download the videos and audio, or upload their own content.

Parental guidance is recommended as some channels, such as those found in the Cartoons for Big Kids channel, are unsuitable for children.
