My Indie Life

My Indie Life is a music channel focusing on independent bands and musicians. It is hosted by Maybe Hip personalities Robby Silver and Lexi Scherr.

The hosts discuss some of their favorite up-and-coming bands in a talk show style. They also interview musicians in the studio and on location in their home towns. The series prides itself on profiling bands most music fans have never heard of including The Little Heroes, Freelance Whales, and All Wrong.

My Indie Life is filmed in high-definition video to preserve the quality even when episodes are viewed in full-screen viewing mode.

The bottom of the player has basic video controls alongside more advanced options. These advanced controls allow fans to e-mail the videos to friends, embed them into a personal website, view the episode synopsis, and view the clips in full screen viewing mode.

Buttons underneath the player allow browsers to jump to the previous episode, view a menu containing all episodes, and view the episode in reduced quality for users with slow internet connections. Browsers are also encouraged to comment on each episode.

New episodes are added to the channel every Tuesday. Each is less than 10 minutes long.
