Power Performers

Inspired by its annual Celebrity 100 list, Forbes Magazine has launched the web series Power Performers which profiles the leading personalities in the entertainment world.

The stories of celebs like reality TV star turned formidable businesswoman Kim Kardashian are designed to inspire others to achieve their dreams.

The short episodes, which typically last less than two minutes, give a bite-sized snapshot into the lives and careers of the stars it profiles.

Basic and advanced video controls appear when hovering over the player window. Basic controls along the base of the player allow browsers to pause and play the clips, adjust their volume, and view the episodes in full-screen mode.

Information along the left side of the player displays the name of the episode viewed and the video scheduled to play next. It also allows fans to rate the videos or compile a playlist. Buttons to the right of the player window allow fans to share the episodes with friends via e-mail, a personal website, and popular social networking platforms. It also allows fans to subscribe to the channel so they'll always know when new episodes are added.
