Rebecca Mayes Muses

Folk singer Rebecca Mayes is inspired by popular video and computer games in the web series Muses.

Each episode features a new acoustic pop-folk about an iconic electronic game, such as Silent Hill, Guitar Hero, and Resident Evil 5. The quirky songs take an atypical approach to the games, suggesting that zombies should be loved rather than shot at, and slamming the homogenized image of feminine beauty presented by many programs.

Rebecca considers herself a one-woman band, and plays banjo, glockenspiel, zither, accordion, keyboards, and guitars in her clips. The songs featured on Muses are also heard on Rebecca Mayes' debut solo album The Epic Win.

Controls in the video player allow browsers to pause and play the episodes, adjust their volume, and view them in full-screen mode. Additional links in the player allow fans to embed the episodes in a personal website and view the site's video help menu.
