Ruffus The Dog

Ruffus the Dog is an award-winning Canadian children's series starring a joke-telling dog with a voracious appetite for literature.

Ruffus is a puppet dog living in a bookstore. He reads the classic tales around him and becomes the hero of the stories he discovers. Each episode sees Ruffus cast in a beloved fairytale or iconic novel, such as King Midas, The Three Musketeers, and Rapunzel.

Jokes and original songs help the series' traditional stories appeal to a new generation of fans. Ruffus the Dog was first seen as a television series in the late 1990s. However now it lives online, with the original TV episodes appearing alongside new web exclusive ones.
