Short Stories (YouTube)

Showtime has collected animated short films from the creative minds of top animators including Don Hertzfeldt, Levni Yilmaz, and Michael Langan for its YouTube channel, Short Stories.

Each animator was instructed to "tell a short story in an innovative way." The channel's videos are their responses to this brief, a collection of original and touching cartoons. Each one features a distinctive animation style, from simple line drawings to more complex stop-motion techniques.

Given the directive, the animators keep their films brief. The longest video runs less than six minutes, while the shortest is only a little more than one.

The Short Stories channel allows browsers to subscribe, so they'll always know when new videos are added to the collection. It also makes it easy to send a message to the Showtime team, or share the videos with friends.
