Smallville is an American supernatural teen action-drama. It follows a young Clark Kent, the man who will become Superman.

Clark came to Earth in a meteor shower, and now lives in the rural town of Smallville, Kansas, with his adopted mother Martha. He tries to have an ordinary life while battling the villainous forces that threaten his family and friends.

The series features characters who will be important in the later Superman franchise, including Lex Luthor and Lois Lane. Others, including Clark's best friend Chloe Sullivan, were written exclusively for Smallville.
