Speed Racer is an animated action series based on the Japanese manga and anime, Mach Go Go Go. It follows the adventures of a teen race driver, known as Speed Racer, and his high-tech car, The Mach 5.

Speed Racer is supported in his efforts on the international racing circuit by his girlfriend Trixie, his mechanic and best friend Sparky, his parents, and his brothers, Spritle and the mysterious Racer X.

The Mach 5 was designed by Speed's father, Pops Racer. He fitted it with several exciting features, including jet propulsion, car elevation, saw blades, oxygen and a periscope for underwater driving, a robot messenger pigeon, and a bullet-proof windshield.

Speed Racer ran for two seasons, and a total of 52 episodes, from 1967 to 1968. While it was created by Japanese animators, all episodes are dubbed into English. All complete episodes of Speed Racer are available through the series' YouTube channel. This channel makes it easy to send a message to its creators, or share the videos with friends.
