Spice and Wolf is a Japanese anime series based on the light novel series of the same name.

The series centers around the character of Kraft Lawrence, a traveling salesman who peddles his wares as he journeys from town to town. He has been on the move for the last seven years, earning money in the hopes of finally settling down with his own store.

During his travels, Kraft comes across a creature with the body of a teenage girl and the tail and ears of a wolf sleeping in his wagon. He soon learns that she is Holo, a harvest goddess who’s lived for more than six centuries. She seems sweet, but she has an untamed beast lurking deep inside her.

Holo is meant to stay and watch over the town and its harvests, but she longs to return to her homeland and discover the outside world. Holo's animal instincts prove to be the ideal foil to Kraft's street smarts, so the pair decides to travel together.

Complete episodes of Spice and Wolf are available through the series' YouTube channel. While they are broadcast in Japanese, they are accompanied by English subtitles.
