The Baristas

Café workers and a colorful cast of caffeine-addicted Americans come together in the comedy series The Baristas. It is a spinoff of the popular and now defunct webseries Something to Be Desired, which was also created and produced by Justin Kownacki.

The Baristas continues the story of Deirdre, who now works at a coffee house in suburban Pittsburgh. She can be ice cold and hostile to the café’s clientele, yet she's the glue that holds the establishment together. She now works with gay culinary wiz Gary, workaholic Madison, down and out divorced single father Reggie, and the new guy Sam, an energetic romantic who hopes to pay for his fiancée's dream wedding. The baristas are joined by a host of regulars who use the café as a place to meet and a dumping ground for their problems.

The Baristas is filmed in real life Pittsburgh café, the Affogato Coffee Bar.
