The Fast Lane Car

New vehicles are put through their paces in the automobile webseries, The Fast Lane Car.

Program producer Roman Mica hosts the program, with assistance from his car enthusiast co-hosts Nathan Adlen and Sara Lacy. It takes its cues from Top Gear USA, although the car reviews are played more for education than entertainment. The Fast Lane Car has a light-hearted tone, but it stops short of the motor mayhem seen on Top Gear USA.

The channel features a variety of different reviews. The team posts their initial impressions of a car in the First Look episodes, which are simple videos filmed on an iPhone. The production values are upped for the Driven/First Drive video reviews. These take a closer look at the vehicles with observations made over several hours, or even a week, in the driver's seat. Finally The Fast Lane Car pits two or more vehicles against one another in the Video Challenge episodes.

The Fast Lane Car's "Video Review" page is organized like a traditional blog, with a detailed episode synopsis and large photo from each episode. Clicking on these images or the "continue reading" links takes browsers to the individual episode pages. These contain a standard YouTube player and links to The Fast Lane Car's Twitter and YouTube pages.
