The LXD
The LXD, or Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, is a fictional dramatic series which follows the creation of two teams of powerful underground street hip hop dancers: one good and one evil.
Early episodes focus on particular dancers, who receive invitations to the mysterious LXD. The LXD crews are composed of dancers of all backgrounds and styles who come together to form the ultimate dance troupe. As the series progresses we will see The LXD dancers battle other dance groups and develop their craft and superpowers.
The series features high production values but no special effects; the superhuman capabilities the dancers possess are through no film trickery. They perform aerial moves and transcendental step sequences that appear to defy the laws of gravity and physics, without the aid of any cinematic assistance.
The LXD is written and directed by Jon Chu, who made his mark in Hollywood with dance films Step Up 2 and Step Up 3D.
