The Opening

The Opening is a reality TV series which explores what various companies offer their entry-level workers and interns. It’s the mastermind of MTV’s college channel mtvU, and recruitment giant MonsterTRAK.

Each episode focuses on a recent college graduate who shares their workplace experiences. The companies profiled are incredibly diverse, from fast food giant McDonalds to technology superpower Intel, to The United Nations.

The young subjects are engaging and help ensure the program is relevant to its target audience. Each segment lasts for around five minutes, and longer episodes are broken into smaller parts. A "continuous play" button at the bottom of the player allows browsers to watch these longer episodes seamlessly.

Other player buttons allow viewers to watch the videos in larger windows, send the videos to their friends, and embed the videos into their own websites. Links are also provided allowing viewers to apply for a position with the featured companies.
