Don Was

The Wasmopolitan Cavalcade of Recorded Music is a music channel hosted by legendary American musician and record producer, Don Was.

The channel features performances by upcoming artists in Don Was' native Detroit, and established musicians including Jon Bon Jovi, Edwin McCain, and Jill Sobule. Many of the clips are performed live at Michigan events such as the Concert of Colors diversity festival or in Don Was' Wasmopolitan Records studio. The channel also contains interviews conducted by Don Was.

The player features video controls which allow users to easily pause the video, fast forward and rewind the clip, adjust its volume, and view the episode in full-screen mode.

Anyone can view The Wasmopolitan Cavalcade of Recorded Music videos, but members of the My Damn Channel site have added functionality. They can leave a text or video comment to any episode. Membership to My Damn Channel is free.

A synopsis of each episode is shown underneath the player. The synopsis window contains icons allowing fans to share the videos with friends, embed them into a personal website, submit them to social networking websites, and download them to view later. Fan comments are shown underneath this synopsis.
