The X Factor UK Video Clips (YouTube)

The X Factor is a talent based reality TV competition which searches for the UK's next big musical star. The YouTube channel contains excerpts from the series' episodes.

The amateur contestants sing for judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue, and Cheryl Cole, who also serve as mentors for the artists. Each judge is assigned a group of contestants: boys, girls, groups, and over 25s. The judges guide the journeys of their charges, advising them on image, song selection, and other factors affecting their weekly performances.

One contestant or act is eliminated, based on a combination of public and judges votes, during each week of the competition until an eventual winner is chosen. Past winners have included high-profile singers Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis. Each year's winner received a recording contract, which includes marketing and recording costs and a cash payment.

Excerpts of The X Factor episodes are available through the series' YouTube channel. The short clips feature individual and group performances from the contestants, as well as performances from celebrity musical guests. The X Factor channel allows browsers to subscribe, so they'll always know when new videos are added to the collection.
