Virus Buster Serge is a Japanese mecha anime series based on the video game of the same name.

The futuristic series is set in Neo Hong Kong in the year 2097. Here it can be difficult to know where man ends and machines begin. Technologically advances have seen the entities merge into artificially enhanced humans and intelligent super computers. However a mysterious force, known as the Virus, is attacking the machines. The organization called STAND is doing its best to combat the Virus. The group is led by Raven, an enigmatic supervisor who spends time at his desk talking to the ghostly Donna.

Serge is the latest addition to the force, a young man who joins the STAND in attempts to remember his past.

Virus Buster Serge was directed by Masami Obari, who is famous for his many anime adaptations of video games. It aired for one season, and a total of 12 episodes, in 1997.
