net_work

net_work is a workplace comedy that focuses on the lives of Mike O’Gorman and Michael Torpay, two internet TV producers. The show has a dry sense of humor and is full of melodramatic drama.

The show shares a comedy-style similar to The Office. It is set in the studio/office of an internet TV production company and often parodies popular viral internet video productions with deadpan humor and no accompanying laugh track.

Michael Torpay is the more stern character who takes himself, and his job, very seriously whereas his colleague, Mike O’Gorman is the opposite.

The characters, Torpay and O’Gorman, go by their real life names. The show is produced by Black20, a real internet TV productions company, which was part-founded by Torpay and O’Gorman.

Black20 earned its name when the founders gambled thousands in unspent expense money on a casino roulette wheel. The wheel stopped on Black-20. They won, doubling their money and allowing them to fund the start of Black20.

Each episode of net_work is under five minutes in length and is broadcast from the real Black20 studio/office.
